The Knights Templar Trust

The Trust was originally formed in 2003 and was registered as a Charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales under Number 1093962 up until January 2016 when its aims were incorporated within The Order itself. The original aims continue to be:

"TO RELIEVE INDIVIDUALS RESIDENT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND WORLD-WIDE WHO ARE SICK OR DISABLED OR DISADVANTAGED OR IN ANY WAY IN NECESSITOUS CIRCUMSTANCES"

Fundraising and charitable activities include:

    • Investiture at Valencia Cathedral in April 2018

    • This year we are including a sample of the good works carried out by our accredited full Knight Templar members only
    • Our many Associates continue their own charitable and humanitarian works all around the world
    • Africa
      • Building in Zambia water purification wells and providing sustainable electrical energy from solar power sources, as well as creating recycling dung methane collectors for cooking gas for the local village community
    • Argentina
      • Direct assistance with many health projects in Buenos Aires and help with young adolescents in their school environments
    • Canada
      • Donations and practical help to NDG Food depot, organised fundraising for children’s hospital in Montreal, contributions to Canadian Red Cross, funding for local cancer research projects
      • Contributions to joint efforts with DAR for local people via the sustaining supporter programme for those in need
    • Chile
      • Creation of a foundation for children with Asperger syndrome and similar so that following full examinations by professionals, 100% funds are provided to help the child back into their peer group school mainstream society

      • Working in concert with Warrior Angels Foundation to help the veterans community

      • Charitable activities carried out with real support for abandoned children and elderly people
    • Philippines
      • Project involving a 10 hectare property to support indigenous people in agricultural and educational ventures
      • Major financial support programmes for orphanages and street children – including shelter, equipment, food, drinks and clothing, with outreach programmes feeding over 200 children in Dumaguete city
      • Creation of a Philippines chapter of the Order
    • Spain
      • Various fundraising projects in Madrid, and several of our Knights involved in multiple charitable works within the country

      • Charitable works carried out in association with St Vincent de Paul charity
      • Around the country various contributions in time and money to the air ambulance service, individual charities in Milton Keynes, Northampton and includes the Sue Ryder charity, Rainbows hospice for young people and the Hope centre
      • Specific donations to sponsor health workers in Africa and Pakistan and to help create education facilities and appropriate jobs
      • Work with the Railway Children charity in Wales as well as the needy homeless
      • Volunteer as a community first responder with over 200 voluntary hours undertaken in the year
      • Work undertaken as a hospital Chaplain and other voluntary works in London

      • Major contribution in time and money to the Pukuu Tataviam Tribe
      • Contributions and time given to Manzanita and Culver City Police foundations
      • Professional support pro bono in homeless shelters and volunteer retreat in the name of the Order
      • Professional medical support in Santa Fe and Colorado serving a large number of indigent and Medicare and Medicaid patients who otherwise have no access to healthcare
      • Instrumental in helping with the launch of a Pediatric Dental Restoration Program
      • Help in setting up a summer camp for disadvantaged children involving some 300 boys and girls a week

      • Helping children and parents to engage with such honourable local organisations as the scouts, brownies, Blue Jays, boys and girls clubs and associated big brother and sister organisations

      • Co-ordinating local humanitarian activities in association with the Shiners club

      • Building a clean water tank system and pipework to provide a local school with clean water supplied weekly by local government water truck. School attendance has improved dramatically now that the children have clean running water available

      • Air Ambulance and help for Heroes continuing support
      • Help with activities such as human rights with Amnesty International and homelessness with Shelter, and raising funds for Wateraid project

      • Providing local services and housing to the refugees and the poor
      • Giving benefits for disabled children including Toys for Tots
      • Local counselling for those with substance and alcohol abuse
      • Work in Veterans medical centre in conjunction with local communities and outreach medical facilities for those people living on the street
      • Working with other groups for breast health initiative, local homeless shelters, animal rescue, women in distress and many other similar problem areas
      • Volunteering help with American Red Cross including activities such as fires, tornadoes and search and rescue assistance
      • Holding Children’s life lessons to become better citizens and leaders for future generations
      • Donations and help to local Army emergency relief and community funds
      • Holding courses on helping abused women and men and refusing to be a victim
      • Support for local D.A.R., wounded warriors project, heart and diabetes associations and first responders
      • Regular contributions to the Enchanted Lantern giving sight to young children
      • Assistance with local Unbound and Fisher house charities and several other non-profit organisations
